Junkyard Jewel: 541k-mile 2000 Ford Econoline
With genuine Ford Ambulance Preparation Package.
During my junkyard travels, I keep my eyes open for used-up vehicles with exceptionally high final odometer readings. Today, we’ve got the best-traveled Detroit product I’ve ever documented: a 2000 Ford E-250 with stories to tell, found at Colorado Auto & Parts in Englewood, Colorado.
This van isn’t the highest-mile American-built vehicle I’ve ever found in a car graveyard. The holder of that title is a near-million-mile Kentucky-built Toyota Avalon I found in South Carolina in 2024. I’ve also written about a Georgetown-made 1995 Camry wagon with 583,624 miles, making today’s Junkyard Jewel #3 on my overall American Made list.
